The Practitioners

Stephen J Brink, LMT NMT
Hurts So Good Massage owner, Stephen Brink, is a Licensed Neuromuscular Massage Therapist in the state of Georgia. His main modalities include Neuromuscular Massage, Deep Tissue Massage, Swedish Massage, Athletic Massage, Prenatal Massage, Visceral Massage, Myofascial Therapy and MyoKinesthetics. He completed his initial degree at Gwinnett College, Sandy Springs (formally Rising Spirit Institute).

Stephen loves to find new ways to help his clients improve their muscle health, so he consistently educates himself in different modalities to broaden his scope of practice. He always strives to uphold a professional business practice, and provides a clean, reliable service designed to exceed his clients’ needs and expectations.

Policies & Procedures

Our goal is to provide our clients with a professional, therapeutic massage. The following policies and procedures have been adopted to aid in providing an outstanding massage experience for all of our clients as well as being respectful of our therapists and their time.

Any requests for sexual activity will not be tolerated. It will be viewed as solicitation and will be reported to the proper authorities under the guidelines set by the State Board of Massage Therapy. On rare occasions an involuntary sensual response to massage is natural and is not considered sexual misconduct. It will usually subside on its own in a few moments.

At Hurts So Good Massage we understand that things happen in everyone's life which can cause them to reschedule a session. Unforeseen events such as car problems, last minute business meetings, bumped up project deadlines or a child being sick are just a few reasons why one might consider canceling a massage appointment. Please provide at least 24 hours notice if you need to reschedule or cancel a session. This gives us the opportunity to schedule someone else in your place. If a client fails to cancel within 24 hours on 2 or more occasions they will be asked to prepay for future services.

All therapists at Hurts So Good Massage are Licensed Massage Therapists and are held to the highest standards of the Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals and the State Board of Massage Therapy. In our professions we apply massage techniques with the intention of positively affecting the health and well-being of our clients. We do not diagnose or prescribe for any medical condition. We are not allowed to provide treatment for a specific medical condition without a doctor's supervision. We are required to refer you for a diagnosis and to follow the recommendations of your physician.

During our session we are happy to adjust the massage pressure, music volume and room temperature as well as work on a specific area of the client’s body longer and/or avoid an area all together. We do this to ensure the client feels completely secure and comfortable during their session. In addition the client can choose to leave on clothing, refuse any massage technique or stop the massage session at any time. The client will always be draped and only the area being massaged will be uncovered. Our goal is to provide a safe and non-judgmental environment. We understand that occasionally an emotional response can occur during a massage session and want to you to know that it is okay and normal. If this happens feel free to express your feelings or request to be alone. We can continue you session when you are ready. You are in complete control.
